For an identical setup as the right Fig. 1 we perform the SRT; we vary the integration range by choosing two different θ_in and by altering θ_out in the shear estimator (10) for each θ_in. The leftmost points are shear estimates around a thin annulus at (blue) and (orange). For clarity only the outcome of the SRT for the combination z_d = 0.83, z_near = 0.91 and z_far = 0.99 is shown. The SRT differs strongly from zero regardless of θ_out, only at a thin annulus very close to the lens is the signal almost compatible with zero.
