Notes. Columns are: date and time, airmass, grism, exposure times, S–E–M phase angle α, and aspect/geometry (“P” = pacific side, “A” = atlantic side). The Φ is the angle between the normal of the nominal (geometrical) scattering plane and the celestial north pole. The degree of polarization of Earthshine PES and the angle of polarization ϕ as defined in Eqs. (1) and (2) are tabulated for the bandpasses B, V, R, and I. Standard errors of the mean are given in brackets, and are typically negligible. (a) From Takahashi et al. (2013). Their Earthshine observations contained mainly the continents Asia and Africa and are denoted by “AA”. (b) Average (error) over entire spectrum from 4500–8500 Å. (c)From Bazzon et al. (2013). “H” means that Earthshine was reflected from lunar Highlands while “M” from lunar Mare. (d) PI values extrapolated to a wavelength of 8550 Å.
