Distribution of the preserved abundances in ²⁶Al and ⁶⁰Fe of proto-planetary disks for which 𝒮_sp >  0.01. The equi-composition contours at constant elevation result from the superposition of 180 simulations performed with N = 2500 stars with a virial radius of r_vir = 0.75 pc that resulted in 808 solar system equivalents. The error bar indicates the abundance of the solar system, with a size equivalent to the uncertainty in the measured values. The green arrow indicates the 10 Myr change in the abundance in ²⁶Al and ⁶⁰Fe due to nuclear decay. We note that the distribution is very broad, even the peak of the distribution ranges over more than two orders of magnitude in abundance.
