One of the LGSs as seen on the patrol camera. This camera has a field of view of 1 arcmin and is used to acquire the lasers in a click-and-go procedure. Left panel: clear sky view of the laser as seen by this un-gated camera, focused to 12 km. The laser spot vanishes in the central hole, being the entrance aperture of the WFS. In the middle panel scatter from lower altitude cirrus clouds can be seen, clearly distinguished from the LGS. Right panel: thick clouds make the star at 12 km vanish completely.
