Fieldorientation on the POL-2 850 μm intensity map (panel a), polarisation fraction pmas (panel b), and polarisation angle dispersion function S(δ = 20′′; panel c) calculated from data at 40′′ resolution. Polarisation vectors (at 20′′ steps, rotated to show the magnetic field orientation) and S are shown for pixels with N(H2) > 5 × 1021 cm−2. The length of the polarisation vectors per cm is the same as in Fig. 10 (14.4′′ for a polarisation fraction of 1%). The yellow contours correspond to N(H2) = 1022 cm−2, outside of which polarisation angles are uncertain.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.

Initial download of the metrics may take a while.
