Mosaic with the 50 × 50 arcsec² individual images of the 22 galaxies composing our M_⋆ > 8 × 10¹⁰ M_⊙ sample. Colour-composite RGB images are created with the i-band (red); r-band (green) and g-band (blue) images from KiDS. The markers pinpoint the exact position of the target galaxy. The surface brightness ranges between 18 and 27 mag arcsec⁻² in each band. The galaxy name, its spectroscopic redshift and its stellar mass are shown in each image, along with a scale bar with a physical scale.
