Number of galaxies in a group (N_gal) as a function of distance from the observer. We plot all galaxies in groups where the distance is a comoving distance calculated using the heliocentric velocities of galaxies. Blue points show the number of galaxies in Bayesian groups as extracted in this study. Red points show the number of galaxies in the FoF groups as constructed by Tempel et al. (2016a). Red points are shifted slightly upward to increase the readability of the figure.
