Comparison between the magnetospheric radius calculated according to the WG97 (see Eq. (20)) and the GL79 (see Eq. (6)) prescriptions as a function of the inclination angle and for five values of the mass accretion rates. We include the highest considered value of the mass accretion rate and the minimum value for which solutions to Eq. (20) are found for all considered inclination angles. We assumed P spin = 1.69 ms, α = 0.4, η = 0.2, and γ = 1.0. The magnetic moment corresponding to each angle is obtained from Eq. (21) by assuming Ṗspin = 5.39 × 10−21 s s−1 and P spin = 1.69 ms.
