Galactic latitude vs. longitude of input stars towards Orion complex (187.5° < l < 218° and − 25° < b < −4°) for four different distance slices. Colour shows the extinctions. Most of stars have extinction values lower than about 0.3 mag but there are some higher extinction values up to about 0.6 mag. The Orion cloud can be identified in the lower right panel (high-extinction stars surrounding a slight void), but it is hard to see any trend in the other three panels.
