Simulation of an AO-corrected image at 1.6 μm for SPHERE/IRDIS, under a 0.8′′ seeing sky. The AO corrected area is clearly visible, and extends to about 20λD (1.6′′). The image is scaled to the peak value of the non-coronographic star PSF.
