Matching Hi-C and AIA pixel scales. To decide on the appropriate Hi-C pixel size, we compare zoomed in Hi-C FOI images (left column) at different binning factors (top row: no binning; first row: 2 × 2; second row: 4 × 4; last row: 6 × 6) against correspondingly sized AIA images (right column). Recognisable features are marked with rectangular boxes or arrows. The 6 × 6 binning provides the best match between the Hi-C and AIA.
