To judge whether the differences region to region are significant, the statistical uncertainties listed in Tables 6 and 7 have to be taken into account, and ultimately the H.E.S.S. systematic measurement uncertainties discussed above as well. When doing this, the spectral indices show no variation across the SNR in either scenario.
