Notes. For NGC 3115 we adopted the distance from Tonry et al. (2001), using the updated calibration zeropoint from Cantiello et al. (2013); the total V magnitude is from de Vaucouleurs et al. (1991), obtained with B − V ~ 1 from the HyperLeda archive http://leda.univ-lyon1.fr/; the effective radius is from Capaccioli et al. (1987). For NGC 1399 we adopted the mean Fornax cluster distance from Blakeslee et al. (2009); the total magnitude is the g-band from Iodice et al. (2016), transformed to V using g − V ~ 0.5 from Cook et al. (2014), derived assuming B − V ~ 1 from HyperLeda; the effective radius is from Iodice et al. (2016). The morphological type code Ttype, velocity dispersion σ and Mg2 are from HyperLeda, the remaining properties are taken from NED http://ned.ipac.caltech.edu
