Radial colour profile in g − r and i − H for the galaxy VCC 1501. The g − r colour (upper panel) and the i − H colour (lower panel) are plotted against the radius of the galaxy. Linear gradients (red) were fitted from 1.̋5 to the effective radius (12″), taking into account the uncertainties of the isophotal colours. The resulting gradient values are δ(g − r) = 0.305 ± 0.027 mag/Reff and δ(i − H) = 0.179 ± 0.023 mag/Reff. The area not used for the fit is shaded in grey.
