Wind-cloud interaction: impact of the VE choice in the tensile instability. Near the contact discontinuity the standard VE, m/ρ, produces the segregation of the two fluids, preventing mixing (left). Choosing VEa = ( ⟨ m/ρa)p/ ∑ ab( ⟨ m/ρb)pWab, where m/ρ is the SPH average of m/ρ and p = 1, suppresses the tensile instability leading to mixing of the fluids and the subsequent bubble fragmentation (right).

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
