Color–color diagram used to remove stars from our final galaxy catalog. Stars have colors that are clearly separated from the regions occupied by galaxies and can be efficiently isolated with the criterion R−I> (I− [3.6] ) + 1 (red line). Open blue circles represent stellar objects identified in Fig. 5.
