Pairs of images of actual observations compared to the calculated southern fan model prediction for the same epoch. The model implies that the conical coma is caused by a single active area ejecting dust and gas in the radial direction with corresponding latitude 55° South. The jets are modeled to be optically thin and to extend 20 000 km into space. Model predictions for all the observations in spring 2016 are similar to one for January 2016 and are therefore not shown on the image.
