Simulated photometric images in the B and K for the remnant of experiment gSagSao1, assuming a distance of 30 Mpc. First and second columns: face-on and edge-on views of the remnant using a logarithmic grey scale to highlight the structure in the outskirts of the galaxy. Third and fourth columns: same as in the previous rows, but using an inverted logarithmic grey scale to enhance the substructures in the core of the remnant. The spatial resolution is 0.7′′. The field of view is 50 × 50 kpc. The segment in the top left corner of each panel represents a physical length of 5 kpc.
