Rotationally broadened line profiles of an intrinsic Gaussian absorption line, whose intensity and equivalent width depends on the effective temperature and gravity like the He i 4471 transition. Calculations include gravitational darkening in an object rotating at the equator with u = V/Vc = 0.9, whose parent non-rotating counterpart has M = 8.6 M⊙ and t/tMS = 0.5. The angular velocity law is given by Eq. (7). The colors indicate the inclination angles, but in this figure only the i = 30° (blue) corresponding to different values of α are explicitly identified.
