Bar histogram showing the number of galaxies falling into each morphological class described in the text for EELG (red) and non-EELG (blue) subsamples. We find that EELGs have a higher fraction of irregular and disturbed morphologies (58%) compared to non-EELGs (34%). Only galaxies in COSMOS and ECDFS fields are considered for this analysis.
