Preliminary spectral energy distributions (SEDs) and residuals for an sdB star with Teff ≃ 29 500 K (upper panel), an sdO star with Teff ≃ 39 700 K (middle panel) and a composite binary system consisting of an sdB star with Teff ≃ 29 100 K and a K-type main sequence star with Teff ≃ 4500 K (lower panel). Photometry is taken from the catalog. The u-band is especially important for determining reliable effective temperatures for sdO/Bs. The fitting procedure with synthetic models is described in Irrgang (2014).
