Contour plots in arbitrary scale of the R-band image of NGC 1366 taken from Morelli et al. (2008). The solid lines mark the position of the slit along the major and minor axis of the galaxy. The brown and orange segments correspond to the radial bins where we were able to separate the two counter-rotating stellar components. Orientation of the field of view is given in the figure, and the scale is 82 pc per arcsec.
