Spatial distribution of the 7 m boulders on the southern hemisphere of 67P, derived from NAC images presented in Table 1. The red boundary shows the location of the terminator of the images presented in Fig. 8 of Pajola et al. (2015), i.e., the southernmost limit where the boulders where previously identified. We stress that, in each image, we only mapped those boulders that are located on areas mainly face-on with respect to the observer (we used the Jorda et al. 2016 shape model to assess this point). For this reason, we preferred to map them on one image and not on the previous or following images where they are still visible. Nonetheless, we used the entire dataset to double check the identification consistency, but counted the boulders only once in the final statistics.
