Position-velocity (PV) of both stellar RVs and gas emission along the Orion A cloud: (black empty squares) APOGEE sources, (black solid squares) APOGEE-YSOs, (orange triangles) sources detected by Tobin et al. (2009), and (background; gray scale) average 12CO emission within Galactic latitudes −21.0 ≤ b(deg)≤−17.5 (Dame et al. 2001). The median (solid squares) and the 25−75% (Q2-Q3) inter-quartile ranges (bars) for all APOGEE sources and for the APOGEE-YSOs between Galactic longitudes 213.75 ≤ l(deg)≤ 208 binned every 0.38 deg are represented in blue and red, respectively. The contours in the CO emission are spaced every 0.5 K km s-1 starting at 0.1 K km s-1.
