Total-power contours and apparent B-vectors (not corrected for Faraday rotation) of polarized intensity of NGC 2976 (obtained with Robust = 1 weighting) at 1.43 GHz superimposed on the H i map (from the THINGS survey, Walter et al. 2008) shown in a logarithmic scale. The H i map resolution is 7.41′′ × 6.42′′ HPBW, position angle of the beam is 71.8 degrees. The contours levels are (−5, −3, 3, 5, 8, 16, 24, 32, 64, 128, 256) × 20 (rms noise level) μJy/beam. A vector of 10′′ length corresponds to the polarized intensity of about 42 μJy/beam. The map resolution is 26.8′′ × 23.5′′ HPBW, while the beam position angle is 62 degrees.
