The two panels show the fractional contribution to the integrated flux for UV (green), Hα (red stars), and Lyα (blue squares) as a function of the far-UV surface brightness (AB mag arcsec-2; left panel) or equivalent radius (i.e., the isophotal radius; right panel). We express here the radius in arcsec (′′; 1′′ corresponds to 0.67 kpc at z = 0.0338). The cumulative Lyα escape fraction is shown with magenta triangles. It starts out as negative and increases monotonically to finally reach 16% at large radii from the center of the galaxy.
