Notes. ν is the rotation frequency of the Crab Pulsar at the reference epoch MJD 50 797.5233442733588; and
are the first and second time derivatives of ν, respectively, at the same epoch. The errors in brackets are in the last digit of each result. Both models use PCA data only, since the BeppoSAX data lies outside this range. While model 1 is obtained using TEMPO2, model 2 is an arbitrary modification of model 1, for reasons explained in the text, which is why no errors are quoted for these parameters.
