Streamlines for two snapshots of two rotating over- and under-pressurized features rotating and balanced by the Coriolis force, taken in the middle of the radial domain. The left panel shows how the fluid starts to move away from the center of the southern perturbation, and towards the center of the northern perturbation. The right panel shows how the Coriolis force makes the fluid rotate in the same direction for both cases, and also that the typical radius of the phenomenon is proportional to 1 / sinϕ.
