Matching beam contour plots of the 1E 1740.7−2942 extended radio jets as observed with the VLA interferometer at the 6 cm wavelength (4.8 GHz) over the years 1992 to 1997. The respective rms background noise is 20.2, 19.1, 19.1, 21.6, and 21.5 μJy beam^-1. Contour levels in units of rms are given below each frame.
