Mass-loss rates as a function of the luminosity of the WN stars in the SMC as well as the LMC for the sake of comparison. The meaning of the symbols is the same as in Fig. 7. The dashed lines refer to the mass-loss relation published by Nugis & Lamers (2000) for Galactic WN stars, which is scaled according to a metallicity dependence of Z0.66 (Vink & de Koter 2005). The straight lines are the general mass-loss prescription for WR stars given by Nugis & Lamers (2000). Both relations are plotted for two surface hydrogen abundances.
