Table 2
Values of the best-fit parameters derived from the fit of Fig. 11.
Parameter | Best-fit value | Reference value |
|
||
Surface temperature (K) | 280.49 ± 0.03 | 275.4 |
Water vapor (pr. μm) | 11.0 ± 0.2 | 10.6 |
Dust optical thickness | 0.159 ± 0.005 | 0.157 |
Water ice optical thickness | 0.069 ± 0.002 | 0.062 |
Methane amount (ppbv) | 33 ± 9 | – |
Notes. The reference value for the surface temperature is the average of the surface temperatures of the preprocessed spectra, reported in TES archive 2. The discrepancy with the best-fit surface temperature is due to the difference between the emissivity value, very close to unity, assumed by the TES archive to be around 1300 cm-1, and that evaluated by the modeling. The reference value for the other parameters is taken from Mars climatology records (Forget & Lebonnois 2013). The temperature vertical profile and the surface emissivity distribution are reported in Liuzzi et al. (2015).
