Method described in Mossoux et al. (2015). Top panel: original photon weighting, bottom panel: alternative photon weighting. The original weighting does not subtract the background, but only attempts to locate the transients, which explains why the eclipses do not have count rates near zero. Both methods are only noisy near the end of the observation.
