Near-IR color–magnitude diagrams. We represent a sample of ultracool dwarfs with measured parallaxes and 2MASS photometry from Dupuy & Liu (2012): gray diamonds represent ML-dwarfs and green diamonds the T dwarfs. We have highlighted in red the T-dwarfs with spectral types between T5 and T7. The binary components of WISE0612 are represented by blue open triangles. In the lower central panel, the faint companion candidate to WISE2255 is represented by a filled square and WISE 1711+3500B (T9.5, Liu et al. 2012) by a filled circle. A sample of 4 Y dwarfs (Liu et al. 2012; Leggett et al. 2013) are indicated by asterisks.
