Dilution in the shell of HD 94509. The Si ii lines λλ4128 and 4130 (arrows) are stronger in the A2 Iae star Deneb (gray, red online) than in HD 94509 (black) because of dilution. The absorption at λ4128.12 in HD 94509 is largely due to λ4128.13 of Mn ii.
