Light-time effects for the observation of a uniformly moving star by an observer at the solar system barycentre B. The plot explicitly demonstrates the distinction between the apparent and true position of the star described by Eq. (4). The apparent position A, observed at time Tobs, is given by the vector b(Tem). During the time it takes for the light to travel from A to B the star has moved from A to A’.
