Notes. The GalMer database classifies the binary merger simulations considering the progenitor of earlier morphological type as the primary galaxy (type1). This study was carried out with the 876 major merger simulations available in the database up to February 2014, which only involved giant progenitors and did not contain any experiments with a gS0 progenitor.
