Spectra of the three M-giant stars (black), slit 12a , slit 11b, and slit 9b, fitted with spectra of HD 101153, HD 169931, and HD 126327, respectively (green in the electronic version). The differences between the object and model spectra are shown at the bottom. The molecular bands of titanium oxide and vanadium oxide are indicated. The derived parameters are listed in Table 3.
