Comparison of the Raman 6825 Å lines from the spectrum of V339 Del (the top two profiles) with those observed in the spectrum of the classical symbiotic star Z And at the end of its 2000–03 active phase (adapted from Skopal et al. 2006). The similarity of these profiles supports the presence of the Raman-scattering process in the spectrum of the classical nova V339 Del (Sects. 3.4 and 4.2.4).
