A magnetic bright point (marked in Fig. 1) in the continuum and line-core intensity images obtained by Sunrise/IMaX. A schematic flux tube connecting the locations of the MBP at the two photospheric layers (yellow shading) with an approximate height difference of has been added. The inclination of the axis of this flux tube (solid line) relative to the surface normal (dashed line) is marked as γp. The figure is a simplification in that the two images are assigned fixed heights, with the vertical axis expanded by a factor of 2.8. The blue contours outline the MBP at the two atmospheric layers.
