Polarized-to-stellar light contrast for a sample of Herbig Ae/Be stars compared with the flux ratio at wavelengths of 30 μm and 13.5 μm. This ratio is indicative of the disk flaring angle. All group I objects have been clearly detected in polarized light, whereas HD 163296 (group I–II) is only weakly detected and HD 150193A (group II) is not detected at all. Flux ratios are from Acke et al. (2010), contrasts from SAO206462, Garufi et al. (2013); HD 169142, Quanz et al. (2013); HD 97048, Quanz et al. (2012); HD 142527, Avenhaus et al. (2014); HD 100546, Quanz et al. (2011); HD 163296, and HD 150193A this work.
