The carbon-rich LPVs (top panel) show relatively longer periods than the oxygen-rich LPVs (bottom panel) (Soszyński et al. 2009a). Mira LPVs have larger amplitude than other LPVs, which is a known property of Mira variables (Soszyński et al. 2009a, 2013). The vertical lines at longer periods are caused by a sparse sampling of the periodogram derived by the Lomb-Scargle method.
