Variation in Stokes Q/I and U/I amplitudes of the He i 1083.0 nm triplet red component with the magnetic field inclination for three different magnetic field azimuth values, in the 90° scattering geometry. The top panels correspond to the saturation regime, B> 10 G, and the bottom panels to no saturation, B = 1 G. The rest of parameters for synthesizing the Stokes profiles were: Δτ = 0.6 at the central wavelength of the red blended component, a = 0.5, ΔλD = 7 km s-1, and h = 10′′. The vertical lines are the Van Vleck angles at 54.74° and 125.26°. Here, the positive reference direction for Stokes Q corresponds to χB = 90°.
