Initial configuration. The instability develops in the XZ plane containing the perturbation vector k; the initial magnetic field B0 forms an angle θ with the XZ plane. B is initially lying in the XY plane, parallel to the interface separating the prominence and coronal plasma, with Bz = 0, Bx = B0cos(θ), and By = B0sin(θ).
