Uncalibrated stigmatic spectra of the Mg ii k (2795.53 Å) and h (2802.71 Å) lines detected by IRIS at 16:48:59 on July 18, 2013. The upper part of the figure, where the profiles are narrow, corresponds to a prominence seen above the South Pole limb. The lower part of the figure, where profiles are wide and reversed, corresponds to the chromosphere close to (and just above) the limb. The spectrum starts (left) at 2792.78 Å  and ends (right) at 2805.34 Å. The spatial extension is 85 arcsec (Courtesy A. Title LMSAL).
