Star formation history of a Carina-type dSph, car157, with a perigalacticon and apogalacticon of 72 kpc and 150 kpc, respectively, compared to the Carina model in isolation. While other dwarf galaxies at this orbit experience a cessation of star formation at perigalacticon (similar to that seen in Fig. 8), the Carina dSph can continue to experience a few bursts of star formation at similar times to the isolated model. This continued star formation occurs when there has not been any significant star formation at the perigalacticon of the orbit.
