NGC 5850 spectrum from the SDSS with 3″ aperture in black. The scaled VIMOS spectrum observed with the blue grating is overplotted in blue; the one observed with the red grating is overplotted in red. All shown VIMOS spectra are extracted from an aperture with a diameter corresponding to the SDSS aperture and considers the seeing conditions. All spectra are shown in the rest-wavelength system. As explained in the text, the spectra are not corrected for sky contamination.
