Notes.Metallicities marked with ⋆ indicate that the value is estimated from Eq. (5) in Salzer et al. (1989b) since tabulated values were unavailable. All spectral classifications are from Salzer et al. (1989b). Note that for UM422 and UM559 we see a clear inconsistency between the assigned class, SS, which implies the target is small and compact, and the extended morphology we observe in our contour and RGB plots for these targets. This is marked with a “?”.
