Results obtainable with the matched filter (MF) in the case of two identical overlapping point sources with shape given by a bivariate, circularly symmetric, Gaussian PSF with σ_G = 3 pixels, when their peaks are 6 and 9 pixels apart. A white noise is added with standard deviation equal to half the peak value of the sources.
