Absolute escape fraction, fesc, as a function of redshift. The data points are a mixture of single detections with errors, detections in stacked samples with errors and upper limits from stacked samples. The absolute escape fraction has been calculated from reported (f1500/fLyC)obs values, using a homogenized treatment of the IGM opacity and the intrinsic ratio (f1500/fLyC)int, as described in the text.
