The case of nonspherical corundum grains. These grains, particularly rotational ellipsoids with an axis ratio of r_c/r_a = 0.79, enable a good representation of the observed 13 μm band profile (the latter is the same as in the previous figure). In addition to our mean ISO 13 μm band profile, a single Spitzer-IRS 13 μm band profile (of V376 Aur, kindly provided by Smolders) is also shown.
